Many overseas visitors to Japan’s Kansai region typically arrive at and depart from Kansai International Airport. But did you know there’s a low-cost and scenic “seaside” route from Kansai International Airport to downtown Kobe’s Sannomiya? From the terminal of Kansai International Airport, take a direct bus to the boarding (or disembarking) point of the high-speed sea ferry. After a 30-minute ride, you’ll arrive at Kobe Airport, and then transfer to the Port Liner (New Transit Harbor Land Line) to reach downtown Sannomiya.

With 16 daily round-trip services, it's highly convenient. Within an hour’s journey, you can enjoy stunning views of Osaka Bay—from deep blue seascapes to golden hues of the setting sun—making your commute a delightful experience.

Unveiling the secrets of hidden European-style life

To soak in the charming, European-alley-like atmosphere of downtown Kobe, there’s nothing better than exploring by Cyclo Taxi—a unique bicycle taxi. As you cruise along, enjoy the sea breeze and exotic surroundings. The route takes you past trendsetting buildings that echo the old streets of southern France, as well as Nakanaka Street lined with quaint vintage shops. Avoiding the tourist crowds, you can stroll through hidden alleys in search of boutique stores—selling vintage clothes, stationery, or handmade jewelry—and lose yourself in the laid-back charm of Europe, making it hard to leave.
