2. Island-Hopping Music Festival

The Island-Hopping Music Festival features a series of musical events across Matsu from April to July, offering audiences one musical feast after another. The upcoming concert at Beihai Tunnel in Nangan will be performed on August 4th by the Pingtung Tayu Ancient Ballads Troupe, with two sessions each evening at 7 PM and 8 PM, limited to 180 attendees per session. From June through August this year, the Nangan Beihai Tunnel concerts will host a different exciting musical event each month, adding plenty of energy to Matsu’s summer nights.

3. Taiwan’s Northernmost Starbucks

The newly opened Uni-President Starbucks Matsu branch, which grandly debuted late last year, is also one of Matsu’s popular attractions. Located next to Fugang Harbor in Nangan, the store’s architecture incorporates local materials such as “Eastern Min-style stone houses” and “traditional bamboo sun-drying sieves,” reflecting Matsu’s regional character. In addition to regular coffee drinks, the branch also offers pour-over coffee service. 4. Nanke Beihai Tunnel Experience

In addition to viewing the beautiful blue tears, visitors to Nanke Beihai Tunnel can also experience the unique charm of Matsu and its magnificent natural scenery through exciting and fun activities such as rowing, canoeing, and landing craft rides. The tunnel tour takes about 30 minutes. Travelers should note that the tunnel's opening hours vary daily, so be sure to check the schedule in advance before visiting.
