Four new bus routes in Taichung officially launched on August 29, centered around the fun theme of “That day, we rode the bus together and enjoyed delicious food.” These four new mountain-sea loop bus routes (Nos. 90–93) offer unlimited mileage and are completely free of charge. Passengers can easily ride the bus and enjoy local cuisine, and those who pay with an IC card can also join the “Love the Bus Monthly Big Draw” event. The public is encouraged to make good use of these services.

Transportation Bureau Director Lin Liang-tai stated that the newly launched four loop bus routes are mainly designed for commuters along the routes, providing convenient public transportation. The bus designs specially incorporate local attractions and agricultural products. For example, the Heping Mountain Loop uses pears as its representative, featuring images of apples and persimmons produced in areas such as Dongshi and Shihkang along the route; the Xinshe Mountain Loop features shiitake mushrooms as its icon, showcasing local produce such as papaya, grapes, and persimmons; the Feng’an Loop highlights the i* citrus fruit, with route highlights including green onions, passion fruit, and grapes; and the Sea Loop is represented by Mazu, accompanied by locally produced taro, watermelon, Chinese chives, and bitter melon.
The four loop bus routes are: “No. 90” Heping Mountain Loop – from Heping to Fengyuan, passing through Dongshi and Shihkang; “No. 91” Xinshe Mountain Loop – from Xinshe to Shenkang, via Shihkang and Fengyuan; “No. 92” Feng’an Loop – from Fengyuan to Da’an, passing through Houli, Waipu, and Dajia; “No. 93” Sea Loop – from Dajia to Wuri, via Qingshui, Shalu, Longjing, and Dadu districts.
