Summer is the perfect season for water activities. Walking on soft, fine sand under the blazing sun while gazing at the azure sea is one of the most refreshing things to do. Here are ten popular seaside bathing beaches, among which Beibai Sha, Zhong Da’an, and Nanshengding have become new trends for water fun. The eastern part, mostly featuring rocky coasts, receives less attention.

1. Baishawan Seaside Bathing Beach
Named after its pristine white and fine sand, this bay features a 500-meter-long beach, making it ideal for various water activities. The north and south sides of the beach are lined with dark gray coral reef rocks. The waters on the northern side are clear, with shallow areas dominated by stony corals. The underwater landscape is rich, featuring stone caves, arches, and canyons, with a complete and diverse marine ecosystem including a wide variety of fish species.
 
2. Kenting Seaside Bathing Beach
Kenting is a popular vacation destination in southern Taiwan for escaping the heat. Its stunning bay is one of the best in the country. With its long stretches of fine white sand and crystal-clear blue waters, it's not only a hotspot for surfers but also a great place for water activities and holidays.

3. Fulong Seaside Bathing Beach
Known as Taiwan’s Azure Coast, Fulong Seaside Bathing Beach boasts golden sands and crystal-clear waters. Its fine, soft beach stretches for several kilometers, and it offers well-developed recreational facilities, making it the most fully equipped seaside bathing beach in northern Taiwan. In addition, the annual Fulong Sand Sculpture Art Festival is a summer classic, and this year it features underground sand sculptures and light shows for the first time.
 
4. Da’an Seaside Bathing Beach
Covering an area of 17 hectares, Da’an Seaside Bathing Beach has a flat and broad beach with soft sand and blue waters. During low tide, large expanses of sandy beach stretching hundreds of meters are exposed, offering more water recreation options in the summer. It's also a great spot for surfing and kiteboarding.

5. Qijin Seaside Bathing Beach
As famous as Sizihwan, Qijin Seaside Bathing Beach attracts many water-loving visitors every year from April to October. The beach has soft sand and clear waters, along with well-equipped lifesaving and shower facilities. In the summer, it often gathers swimmers, surfers, and parasailers.
 
6. Xinjaishan Seaside Bathing Beach
Located at the Jinshan Activity Center, Xinjaishan Seaside Bathing Beach features a semicircular bay with a 500-meter-long beach of golden fine sand. In the summer, it draws crowds, and the beach is used to set up beach volleyball courts. The nearby Jinshan Activity Center is well-planned, offering camping and barbecue equipment, as well as a hot spring fitness center.

7. Sizihwan Seaside Bathing Beach
Sizihwan is famous for its sunset views and natural rock formations. The seaside bathing beach here offers ocean views and a distant glimpse of Kaohsiung Harbor. When night falls, the setting sun and twinkling fishing boat lights create a beautiful seascape.
 
8. Xibian Seaside Bathing Beach
The only offshore beach on the list, Xibian Seaside Bathing Beach, due to past military control, retains a pure and natural coastal vibe. It is currently the only officially operating seaside bathing beach on the island. With its beautiful bay curves, jade-like fine sand, and clean, clear blue waters, it is perfect for swimming and playing in the water.
