The “2018 Starbucks Coffee Journey Exhibition” will open at Taipei Huashan 1914 Creative Park on Wednesday, July 11. Entering its fifth year, the Starbucks Coffee Journey Exhibition has attracted nearly 250,000 visitors since its launch in 2014. This year, with the theme “Coffee Inspires Your Life,” the exhibition explores the relationship between “coffee and people,” transforming an old warehouse with lattice installations. The entrance features a stack of ferns and plants commonly found at high altitudes in Taiwan’s mountains, evoking the vibrant jungle atmosphere of the island.

The exhibition area is divided into four major themes: Coffee Journey, Flavor Voyage, Home Moments, and Outdoor Exploration. Among these, the Starbucks coffee bar exhibit area will, for the first time, publicly showcase latte art and brewing competitions through its dual-bar setup, attracting many Starbucks fans to experience it firsthand. The coffee bar is designed with the concept of wooden pallets—each plank representing a path in the journey, encouraging people to keep moving forward, while the wood texture brings a rustic, warm feel. In addition, Taiwan Starbucks has invited several local lifestyle artisans and Black Apron coffee masters to discuss coffee life from various perspectives. Over the course of 33 consecutive days across the four exhibition zones, the event offers a comprehensive exploration of coffee quality, flavor, and lifestyle.

Taiwan Starbucks stated that in recent years, the coffee market has increasingly focused on coffee bean origins, single-origin varieties, and ethical sourcing. Consumers are becoming more curious about where their drinks come from and are showing a growing desire to learn about the knowledge behind their coffee. This has been a key message communicated by the Starbucks Coffee Journey Exhibition over the past five years—Farm To Cup, the journey from coffee origin to your cup. Through accessible storytelling, the exhibition builds a vivid and captivating coffee wonderland. This year, the focus expands further to include participation from professionals in music, food, architecture, floral design, and more, creating a creative atmosphere that links coffee with imagination.

The entrance design of the 2018 Starbucks Coffee Journey Exhibition represents 20 years of Starbucks in Taiwan, using native Taiwanese plants to create a jungle-inspired setting.

In addition, to allow customers to taste unique, rare, and precious specialty coffee beans from around the world, and to experience the different flavors brought out by various brewing methods, the exhibition has launched a limited Coffee Journey coffee experience set, offering a chance to explore diverse brewing styles and their distinct flavor profiles all in one go.

Besides the Coffee Journey coffee experience set, there are also three exclusive beverages available only at the exhibition: “Reserve Malt Snow Cold Brew,” “Nitro Cold Brew Florat,” and “Cool Summer Special Beer Blend.” Plus, there are over 30 types of Starbucks Coffee Journey merchandise, including the exclusively launched compact pour-over travel set, black electric gooseneck pour-over kettle, Coffee Journey T-shirts, and three types of souvenir cards. Consumers interested in learning about coffee brewing and tasting can take this opportunity to engage in close conversations with professional Black Apron coffee masters, exchange insights on coffee appreciation, and co-create their own unique coffee lifestyle—from gaining coffee knowledge and experiencing flavor layers to embracing a persistent and extended attitude toward life.
