Taiwan’s first-ever block-inspired hot spring experience: A hotel unveils a LEGO-themed floor

On the eve of summer vacation, Yilan’s Jiaoxi welcomes a new buzzworthy hotel — “Ambience Resort Jiaoxi,” which began trial operations at the end of June. In addition to offering Jiaoxi’s famous hot spring water, a high-altitude spa, and swimming pool, the most eye-catching feature is Taiwan’s first block-themed floor, which incorporates creative block designs throughout guest rooms and facilities.

Ambience Jiaoxi offers 9 room types and 173 hot spring rooms, among which the “Brick Room” is Taiwan’s first and Jiaoxi’s only block-themed floor, specially planned in collaboration with the Yilan Block Museum. The floor is decorated with 3D stacked block art made from thousands of blocks, and also features an accompanying treasure hunt game.

The themed floor includes Taiwan’s first glowing block wall, the “Shining Block Wall.” There’s also a “Block Play Ball Pit” specially designed for children, featuring uniquely developed creative spheres that hold blocks inside transparent balls to create a novel and safe play space. Additionally, the most unique attraction is Taiwan’s only “Block Hot Spring,” featuring a custom-made wooden tub measuring 180 cm in length and filled with nearly 10,000 blocks.
