Not just Frozen fans' dream come true—Tokyo Disney expands with three new themed lands

Fans of Japan travel and Disney are in for a treat as Tokyo DisneySea unveils a major expansion plan. The ¥250 billion renovation project is expected to launch three new themed areas—Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan—along with a brand-new resort hotel in 2022.

This renovation will be the most ambitious expansion in Tokyo DisneySea’s 35-year history. The new areas will feature multiple attractions modeled after iconic movie scenes, including Arendelle from Frozen, the tower where Rapunzel lives in Tangled, and the magical Neverland home to Peter Pan and his friends.

Additionally, new zones will be built at the back of Tokyo Disneyland and on the current parking lot site. These include four major attractions, three restaurants, one shop, and a new 475-room hotel, covering a development area of approximately 140,000 square meters.
