The world’s most dangerous countries list is out – choose your travel destination with caution

Thailand is a popular travel destination for many tourists from Europe, America, and Asia, but recently the well-known British insurance company Endsleigh, based on 2017 travel insurance claim data, compiled a “World’s Most Dangerous Countries for Travel” ranking, indicating that Thailand topped the list due to the highest number of travel insurance claims, with Chile and the United States tied for second place.

The insurance company mentioned that the reason Thailand is considered dangerous is that, apart from the capital Bangkok, many areas lack public transportation, leaving tourists to rely on rented motorcycles. This not only increases the risk of traffic accidents for tourists in Thailand, but the country also frequently reports incidents of theft and robbery, along with threats of terrorist attacks.

In addition, the list also includes France, Spain, and Germany. Among these, the reasons tourists visiting France and Spain file claims with insurers are usually related to pickpocketing. The list of the most dangerous countries for travel also features Nepal, Peru, the Bahamas, and Brazil.

There are various criteria for evaluating travel risks, and when going abroad, one should consider multiple safety aspects and carefully choose a travel destination to ensure a safe and worry-free trip.
