The “Crescent Waterway Festival,” which was highly praised by the public last year as New Taipei City’s hottest water activity during the summer vacation, has increased the number of sessions per day, participant capacity, and website traffic in this year’s registration design. On June 20, the first day the website opened for registration, it,instantly received 600,000 hits, with web traffic far exceeding the expanded capacity. The Highways Office immediately dispatched additional engineering personnel for emergency repairs and further expanded the traffic capacity.

This year, the “Crescent Waterway Festival” attracted hundreds of thousands of people eager to register, reflecting the strong recognition and anticipation for this event. During the event, the public is reminded to use public transportation to save parking time. For those who were unable to register due to system issues, the system has now been urgently rebuilt, updated, and upgraded to handle greater web traffic, ensuring a smoother registration process. The registration system will reopen to the public at 10:00 AM on the 21st.
This year’s event will not only last for 30 days, but also feature three sessions per day, with each session accommodating up to 600 visitors. For those who didn’t manage to secure a spot, don’t be disappointed—there will still be registration-free facilities available for free participation. Come to Xinzhuang’s Crescent Bridge to enjoy the beautiful scenery and riverside comfort.
Additionally, the Highways Office has been closely monitoring water situation updates released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Water Resources Agency. The implementation of this event will be based on the drought and water level conditions provided by the agency. In case of extreme weather or unexpected incidents during the event, it may be postponed or canceled.
