Sanrio’s super popular character Gudetama, with its signature lazy and listless expressions and movements, has attracted a huge fan following. This year, Gudetama officially celebrates its fifth anniversary and will launch “Gudetama: Too Lazy to Evolve” at the National Taiwan Science Education Center in Taiwan on June 30, bringing everyone the most healing exhibition this summer.

The “Gudetama: Too Lazy to Exhibit,” which was first exhibited in Taiwan from 2015 to 2016, created a huge craze with its super healing giant Gudetama, attracting nearly 400,000 fans. The exhibition incorporated local Taiwanese elements, and this strong comeback in 2018 is sure to set fans off again.

This exhibition is a special project for the fifth anniversary, with the theme “Survival of the Fittest,” embodying Gudetama’s spirit of “laziness,” and depicting how, in a world full of formidable rivals, Gudetama consistently refuses to evolve, making its way from prehistoric times all the way to future planets.

The exhibition area is divided into six major eras and specially planned zones, including the Egg-Punk Era, Stone Egg Era, Empire Egg Era, Industrial Egg Era, Entertainment Egg Era, Future Egg Era, and the LAZY 5 Zone, making up seven major themes. Gudetama will present its lazy skills in a brand-new light.
