Southwesterly monsoon arrives！ Beware of heavy rain during the plum rain season

From the evening of the 13th through the 14th, a stationary front and southwesterly airflow will bring unstable weather. Scattered showers or thunderstorms are expected throughout Taiwan, as well as over Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, with localized chances of heavy to torrential rain. Be sure to carry rain gear when going out. Additionally, the Central Weather Bureau has issued a strong wind advisory; be cautious of sudden gusts along coastal areas.

This round of plum rain will continue until next Tuesday, after which conditions will gradually shift back to brief afternoon showers across various regions. During the plum rain season, temperatures will be slightly lower, ranging between 24～29°C. Starting Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise by around two degrees. The bulk of rainfall will concentrate from Thursday to Saturday, so areas with a history of flooding and mountainous regions should take extra precautions against heavy rain disasters.
