Must-try conveyor belt sushi +1: Japanese Genki Sushi makes its Taiwan debut

Taiwanese people have a high level of fondness for and acceptance of Japanese sushi, with both previously launched Sushiro and HAMA Sushi gaining popularity among food enthusiasts. Now, the popular Japanese conveyor belt sushi chain “Genki Sushi” is also coming to Taiwan, and the news has sparked an enthusiastic response from many fans of Japanese-style sushi.

Genki Sushi has been ranked among the top ten favorite conveyor belt sushi chains in Japan, with nearly 100 outlets in Japan and expansions into the Chinese mainland and South Korean markets. Recently, it announced plans to enter Taipei City, with its first store expected to be located in Neihu District.

In addition to Genki Sushi, Japan’s largest conveyor belt sushi operator “Sushiro” is also scheduled to open on June 15, with its first store located in the Chongde Building next to the Taipei Station Front branch of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. It also plans to expand to Taichung City and Kaohsiung City.
