A hidden gem of rose walls as spectacular as hydrangea displays

Near the Huan Shan Tribe, there is a vibrant rose wall in full bloom, with clusters of blossoms that resemble the beauty and grandeur of hydrangeas when viewed from afar. Travelers can't help but stop to admire and take photos, capturing the rare sight of this floral wall.

This rose wall is located around kilometer 69 on Provincial Highway 7A. The colorful wall of flower clusters is highly visible along the highway, typically in bloom from May to September each year. Flower enthusiasts and photographers are advised to plan their visit during this period.

Roses have long been celebrated as one of the most exquisite and fragrant flowers. Their petals can be used to extract aromatic oils, giving them considerable value. There are many varieties of roses, with colors ranging from milky white, light yellow, golden yellow, pink, crimson, to deep purple. The rose blooming season generally falls between May and September each year.

Aside from enjoying the flowers at Huan Shan Tribe, visitors can also explore this rare mountain valley settlement. Surrounded by mountains over 3,000 meters high, the community features the Huan Shan Atayal Cultural Center, which helps preserve the fading heritage of the Atayal culture.

Additionally, you can visit the nearby Fushoushan Farm, where early summer brings vibrant blooms of lupines and poppies, as well as white alpine calla lilies. It’s a great opportunity to plan a flower-viewing trip through central Taiwan’s mountainous region.
