Capitalizing on the hot summer weather, Coca-Cola has crafted a new sparkling alcoholic drink using lemon—Lemon-Dō. It comes in three different alcohol content levels: 3%, 5%, and 7%. The drink also features two flavor variations: a savory lemon version and a mildly sweet honey-lemon version, targeting the growing popularity of sparkling alcoholic beverages among young women in Japan.

Before its official launch, Coca-Cola held a tasting event for Lemon-Dō in Fukuoka, Japan, attracting hundreds of visitors who lined up for a first taste. Following its market release, the brand secured popular Japanese actor Hiroshi Abe as its spokesperson, boosting its popularity and sparking even more curiosity about its unique taste.

Though the taste of Lemon-Dō has intrigued many, it will not be sold outside of Japan. The sparkling alcoholic drink Lemon-Dō is priced at 162 yen (approximately 45 New Taiwan Dollars) per can including tax. Travelers planning a trip to Japan shouldn’t miss the chance to try it.

Do not drink and drive. No drinking under the age of 18.
