No more noise worries: Three budget airlines launch quiet cabins

When planning a vacation abroad, many people opt for budget airlines to save on travel costs. However, budget airline seats are often smaller and more cramped, and encounters with crying children or even seat-kicking can significantly dampen the trip. Nowadays, budget airlines have introduced “quiet cabins” to ensure passengers can sleep undisturbed all the way to their destination.

NokScoot Airlines

NokScoot Airlines is a budget carrier specializing in Thai routes, offering daily flights between Taipei and Bangkok. To ensure passenger comfort during the flight, NokScoot has introduced the “Scoot Quiet Zone” exclusively for passengers aged 12 and above. The Scoot Quiet Zone is located between economy and business class, offering a quiet, exclusive, and private space.

Scoot Airlines, a top choice for many budget travelers, has also set up a quiet cabin section in the front part of the economy class on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This area not only features adjustable pillows but also avoids seating families with infants to prevent disturbance from crying.

In addition, passengers who choose this zone can disembark first after landing, and if booked in advance, they can also select super seats or stretch seats.

AirAsia

AirAsia has designated rows 7 to 14 behind the premium cabin as the “Quiet Zone.” This area is only available to passengers aged 10 and above. With less noise and fewer disturbances, the zone also offers soft lighting and priority disembarkation services, making it ideal for travelers who want to rest well as soon as they board.
