The beloved Scandinavian fairy tale character Moomin makes a grand appearance in a large-scale themed installation exhibition – a must-visit photo spot

As summer vacation arrives, various regions across Taiwan are launching family-friendly activities to invite both kids and adults to enjoy the vibrant season together. This year, Taoyuan’s Taimall Shopping Center has teamed up with the super adorable Finnish sprite Moomin to present the “Moomin’s Summer Journey” large-scale themed installation exhibition.

Located in southern Taoyuan, Taimall Shopping Center has annually collaborated with popular cartoon characters to launch limited-time exhibitions tied to holidays. Following previous exhibitions featuring SpongeBob, Disney, and Hello Kitty starting in 2013, this summer the mall partners with Moomin for its latest installation display.

The Moomin-themed installation exhibition kicked off on June 6 and will run until July 2, allowing visitors and children to not only take photos and play with Moomin but also shop and dine within the shopping center.

Originating from Nordic Finnish fairy tales, Moomin also enjoys immense popularity in Japan and even has themed cafés there. At the Taimall Shopping Center in southern Taiwan, the surrounding shops offer an array of Moomin merchandise.
