Located in the Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area in Tainan’s Beimen District, this spot boasts rich natural ecological landscapes. With breathtaking sea views, vast mangrove forests, and the picturesque "Forest of Forgetfulness" made up of deadwood, it’s a favorite among travelers. This year, 11 new yurt-like "white starlight tents" have been added as a highlight. Just open the skylight and you can stargaze from bed — attracting loads of visitors and becoming super popular!

The Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area covers 250 hectares, situated between the Bazhang River and the Jishui River. It is the northernmost coastal area in Tainan City and is managed under contract by the Tainan City Tourism Bureau. The park features abundant natural scenery and ecology. Walking along the wooden boardwalk, you can get up close to the mangrove ecosystem, including Kandelia obovata, Sonneratia caseolaris, fiddler crabs, and mudskippers.
This year, 11 new starlight tents, boat-house restaurants, and a wedding photo gallery have been added. Among them, the most eye-catching are the 11 white starlight tents resembling yurts. At night, you can open the skylight to stargaze, offering guests the romantic experience of sleeping under the stars.

The interiors of the starlight tents are well-equipped with beds, bathrooms, and air conditioning. There’s also an electric skylight at the top that opens to a transparent roof. On clear nights, you can gaze at the starry sky and fall asleep under the moon and stars.
The semi-circular starlight tents are designed with reference to the cylindrical appearance of observatories, with each costing approximately 600,000 to 700,000 TWD. The tent exterior is wrapped in fiberglass, making it windproof and fireproof. It has withstood several typhoons this year without any damage.

The beautiful scene of deadwood reflected in the water is another popular attraction in the Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area, resembling a "Forest of Forgetfulness." The wooden boardwalk surrounded by mangroves also acts like a natural green tunnel and has become a popular Instagram photo spot. The area’s rich natural ecology includes large numbers of fiddler crabs and sesarmid crabs living on the tidal flats. Regular visitors often bring their own crab nets to catch sesarmid crabs — waking up to a bountiful catch is quite the enjoyable experience!
