Never ridden a bullet train? No worries—but have you ever had ramen delivered by an ultra-fun bullet train? “24h Bullet Train Ramen,” located on Shifu Front Road in Tainan City, opened at the end of September this year. It features 24-hour service and a refreshingly unique bullet train-style food delivery system that has attracted many curious diners since its launch.

The restaurant’s floors are named “Platform 1” and “Platform 2,” while seats use Japanese place names. The walls are adorned with large train motifs and platform-style tiles, creating the immersive feel of dining on an actual train platform.

The ramen here is divided into three categories:the Hokkaido Milk Series,theFlavored Red-Braised Series,andthe Jigokudani Ramen.All are priced under NT$150. Additionally, the dining process is unique: each person must first purchase a NT$100 “ticket” and select a seat (station), then use the nearby vending machine to order after being seated. The NT$100 ticket can be applied as a credit toward the meal, with any extra amount paid on top. After eating, you settle the bill at the counter with your ticket stub.

Watching the train carry your ramen to your “station” is truly amusing. There are also signs reminding guests not to stick their heads, hands, or feet out of the “windows.” Don’t forget to press the return button after picking up your meal so the train can head back to the terminal.
