Malaysia enjoys summer-like weather all year round, making it the perfect time for beach picnics, sand play, and swimming in the sea. Today, little Papaya and Papaya Mom went with a group of friends, all of whom brought their kids to the beach for a picnic and sand play. Each of us prepared our own food, and together it became a wonderfully diverse spread. Papaya Mom would like to share her little tips with everyone.

1. You can use sand toys or repurpose plastic containers to hold water and moisten the sand, which makes it easier to build your favorite models—like castles, houses, trains, and more~
2. If there are enough kids, playing becomes even more fun and lively. Everyone can work together to build a castle. It’s educational and entertaining, teaching kids about taking turns, teamwork, and caring for one another~
Kids can learn not to rush and to enjoy playing together harmoniously.
Papaya Mom observed the interaction between the older boy and little Papaya and was pleasantly surprised and happy. The older boy actually took the initiative to take care of little Papaya, carrying water back and forth for him several times so he could play~
The older boy also helped little Papaya dig a hole. Little Papaya played with the teapot filled with water that his brother had prepared for him. Papaya Mom felt that now that little Papaya accepts help from his brother and experiences it firsthand, he will grow up learning to help others too. Imitating peers is the fastest way to learn.
3. Wear dark-colored clothes without pockets when playing in the sand. It’s best to wear a full-body swimsuit like the little boy in the bottom right corner—lightweight, easy to move in, the clothes don’t get dirty easily, and there are no pockets to hide sand.
4. You can dig deep holes in the sand to make little lakes, rivers, or ditches. Everyone can have fun gathered around the holes.
5. You can also dig holes to climb into or bury yourself in, adding more fun to sand play. Little Papaya found it very fresh and enjoyed lying in the pile of sand.
1. Tent: A tent helps keep sand from getting in, and you can take naps or breastfeed inside.
2. Mat: A grass mat can be used to place food or sit on while cooling off.
3. Cooked Food: When the kids get hungry from playing and come ashore, they can eat some proper meals.
4. Pastries: After eating the main meal, the kids will continue playing. When they come ashore again, they can snack on bread or cake.
5. Drinks: Kids expend a lot of energy and lose fluids, so it’s important to keep replenishing them. Prepare refreshing drinks such as water, soda, packaged beverages, ice cubes, etc.
If you have any experience with beach picnics and sand play, feel free to share them with Papaya Mom too.
