Many moms find it quite difficult to teach kids how to tell time, as it’s too abstract for young children, and the long and short hands are just too similar. Foreign moms have come up with a fun solution—making an engaging DIY learning clock with their kids to enhance the visibility of the long and short hands, making them more tangible. This makes it much easier for children to understand the passage of time, and it's also a lot of fun!
Materials:
Clock * one
Full-body photo of your child * one
Steps:
1. Cut out your child’s full-body photo and separate it into two parts from the waist.
2. Attach one part to the long hand and the other part to the short hand. Make sure the clock can still run smoothly after attaching the photos.
This simple and convenient craft makes the clock’s hands more concrete, helping young children learn to tell time more effectively. They might even become eager to learn how to read the clock faster!
