The wildly popular keyboard pancakes from Korea are now available in Taipei too！Cross Café in a small alley in Taipei’s East District has launched a Christmas-exclusive matcha keyboard pancake. The grid-style pancake is designed to look like a keyboard, super adorable, and paired with the ever-popular “Matcha King,” it’s hard for dessert lovers to resist. It’s caused a huge buzz online！

The Christmas-exclusive “Matcha Keyboard Pancake,” also known as the Cloud Pancake, was launched on December 9th and is priced at NT$250 per serving. The moment it’s served, you’ll be tempted to playfully tap away on it！ The matcha keyboard pancake comes with three optional toppings: sweet red bean paste, vanilla ice cream with colorful crispy fruit, and organic berry jam. Drizzle on the sweet “matcha bestie,” sweet red bean, and the flavors complement each other perfectly. Pairing it with ice cream or jam is also the classic, most delicious way to enjoy the pancake.

Cross Café was opened by renowned DJ Winnie Wu to fulfill his dream, tucked away in a small alley in the East District. Currently, there are almost no similar keyboard pancakes in Taiwan. It’s said that making these uniquely shaped pancakes requires some special techniques, including careful attention to ingredients and heat control during preparation. After multiple rounds of R&D, they finally succeeded.

Besides the limited-time and limited-quantity keyboard pancake, the shop’s signature dessert, the “Tearful Pearl Pancake,” is also a favorite among many regulars. The pearl pancake that makes you cry is actually a bubble tea pancake. The pancake has a rich Earl Grey tea flavor, topped with a whole layer of shiny pearls – just looking at it makes your mouth water.
