It's not just in Shilin anymore！Popular hand-shaken drink brand Tigersugar opens its Taipei Second Branch

Last November, Tigersugar opened its first store in Taichung’s Zhongzheng District. After launching its first Taipei branch in Shilin in April, it only took one month for the Taipei Second Branch near Taipei Main Station to be announced.

Originating in Taichung, Tigersugar is known for its unique “stir-fried sugar” technique that creates chewy brown sugar boba with thick fresh milk. The brown sugar is also poured along the rim of the cup to create a “tiger stripe” visual effect. This sensory feast—striking both taste and sight—quickly turned it into a viral online sensation, winning the hearts of netizens and tourists alike.
Tigersugar’s signature stir-fried sugar technique infuses black sugar into boba, delivering a chewy, aromatic, and richly flavored treat that leaves boba lovers crazy for more.
Tigersugar only launched its first Taipei branch in Shilin’s Night Market on April 26 this year. Within a short time, it carried over the hype from Taichung—not only did customers typically have to wait at least one to two hours, some even queued for three hours to get their drink. Seizing the high foot traffic, the beloved Tigersugar chose to open its Taipei Second Branch on Nanyang Street near Taipei Main Station.
The long queues for Tigersugar have spread from Taichung to Taipei, often requiring a one to two-hour wait to get a drink.
The announcement of Tigersugar’s Taipei Second Branch also drew enthusiastic responses from netizens. Located in the transportation hub of Taipei Main Station, where many travelers pass through, it is expected to spark another wave of queues and become the newest hot drink topic near the station.
