Transformed into a large-scale art experience hub—Huashan New Talents Season showcases a hundred forms of youthful creativity

Huashan Cultural and Creative Park has a new highlight! Recently, the New Media Art Department of Taipei National University of the Arts, backed by support from international tech giants, has developed AR and VR technologies combined with real-life interactive experiences, turning Huashan into a massive immersive experience venue where the collision of technology and culture sparks even more creative energy in the park.

Huashan Cultural and Creative Park is a hall that embraces diverse forms of art. Now in its tenth edition since its launch in 2008, this year’s Huashan New Talents Season is themed “A Hundred Forms of Youth,” bringing together creative talents from 12 universities to present a variety of art exhibitions.

Among them, the New Media Art Department of Taipei National University of the Arts takes the lead, breaking the mold of typical small-group graduation works and indoor shows. The department’s addition of VR and AR experiences along with remote-controlled moving devices has drawn the most attention. By using voice guidance and IoT interactions, they’ve created a virtual-real interactive adventure that blends technology.

Additionally, during the nearly month-long New Talents Season, there are also numerous exhibitions on display, such as those by the Craft Department of Taiwan University of Arts, which is planning its exhibition in a brand-new marketplace format; the Radio, Television and Film Department of Taiwan University of Arts, which sells brainpower creativity and invites grandparents to celebrate together; and the Architecture Department of Huafan University, which handles everything from works and exhibition spaces to hardware in-house, without outsourcing any part of the exhibition—offering a rich array of showcases.

Meanwhile, the Department of Visual Communication Design at China University of Technology, which has been shortlisted for multiple Golden Pin Design Awards; as well as departments such as Shih Hsin University's Journalism Department, Kunshan University of Science and Technology's Department of Public Communication, Xing Wu University's Department of Information Communication, and Tamkang University's Department of Mass Communication—each bringing boundless creativity to showcase the power of media—will all present their works within Huashan Cultural and Creative Park. They will use a wealth of culturally enriching content to create an explosion of creative experiences that engage all five senses.
