These golden, sun-kissed daylilies are one of summer’s most beloved floral sights. Besides the upcoming Huatung Valley Daylily Festival in August and September, a vast field of golden daylilies has recently begun to bloom near the passenger service center at Taichung Port. Their early blossoming has transformed the land into a breathtaking yellow floral carpet.

Although daylilies typically bloom in the height of summer, due to shifting climate patterns, a vast sea of blossoms has already appeared in early summer. This makes it the earliest blooming golden daylily field in Taiwan this year — a stunning sight that lifts the spirit.
