Restaurant Transforms into Dreamy Cherry Blossom Space – New Hotspot for Cherry Blossom Bars

Besides visiting outdoor cherry blossom spots, a bar in Tokyo’s Shinjuku offers an alternative indoor cherry blossom experience. RICCA Bar is a flower-viewing (hanami) themed bar that incorporates this elegant activity into its space design, creating a vibrant pink sea of blossoms indoors to preserve the beauty of cherry blossoms within the bar.

Cherry blossoms have a short blooming period, only displaying their most beautiful peak for a few fleeting days before falling without regret. Echoing the spirit revered in Japanese bushido, the Japanese design team Roito inherited this sentiment and designed the bar inspired by hanami.

The design team transplanted the traditional beauty of cherry blossoms, representing petals with modern resin materials. Various semi-transparent resin film petals intertwine across the ceiling to form a colorful sea of flowers, which, under the play of light, bloom into an eternal cherry blossom scene.

RICCA Bar is located in Kagurazaka, which, along with Shinbashi (Ginza), Akasaka, Higashi (Nihonbashi Ningyocho), Mukojima, and Asakusa, is known as one of Tokyo’s Six Major Flower Districts. The area features old streets from Japan’s Meiji and Showa eras, interspersed with European-style cottage buildings, combining ancient and modern atmospheres for a uniquely retro and fashionable charm.
