Enjoying Riverside Night Views at a Container Café – A One-Day Cycling Tour of Shizitou’s Four Major Attractions

Located in the Shilin District of Taipei, Shizitou Island lies between the Keelung River and the Tamsui River. It boasts a mangrove ecosystem and stunning riverside landscapes, including the Taipei Flower Village, Shizitou Wetland, and Daitou Park, resembling an oasis in the city. 1. Taipei Flower Village
The Taipei Flower Village was originally a sand and gravel site that has been transformed into a small flower market. It features orchid greenhouses, garden plant sales, a café, DIY classrooms, and an inflatable playground. Different flowers bloom here in every season, with the wisteria season in March and April being the main highlight.

2. Shizitou Bridge, Waterfront Plaza, and Basketball Court
The Shizitou Bridge connects both ends of Chengde Road across Shizitou Island, spanning the Keelung River. It stretches from the west to the embankment and flood control road of Shizitou Island, with a total length of about 1,260 meters. The Shizitou Bridge is Taiwan’s first self-anchored inclined tower cable-stayed bridge. Its tower stands 105 meters tall and has become a prominent landmark in the Shilin and Beitou districts.

3. Shizitou Wetland
The Shizitou Wetland nurtures a rich benthic animal ecosystem, making it one of the best bird-watching spots as well as a prime location for enjoying the riverside scenery. From here, you can gaze out over the majestic river view and see the Guandu Nature Park Wetland on the opposite bank.
