Weekly Weather Forecast: Temperatures Plummet, Rainfall Nationwide — Stay Alert

Affected by the northeast monsoon and the eastward movement of a rain-bearing cloud system from southern China, the northern and northeastern regions will experience cooler weather, while other areas will also feel chilly in the morning and evening. Avoid wearing too little clothing to prevent catching a cold.

On Monday, the 16th, the northern half of Taiwan, the eastern part of the island, and mountainous areas in the south will still see brief showers, while other regions as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu may also experience scattered brief showers. The rainy conditions will persist until Tuesday, with skies turning mostly cloudy again on Wednesday.

From the 16th to the 17th, temperatures will hover around 20°C, with cooler mornings and evenings. Starting Wednesday, temperatures will gradually rise, averaging about 5°C higher than on Monday and Tuesday. By the weekend, the highest temperatures will climb to around 30°C.

After Wednesday, the western half of the island will see mostly cloudy to sunny weather. The eastern part will experience brief showers again starting Thursday, turn mostly cloudy on Friday, and see continued rainfall on Saturday and Sunday. Travelers planning trips to the east over the weekend should stay alert to weather changes.
