Taoyuan isn't just about colorful calla lilies — five must-visit flower spots you can’t miss

Taoyuan is an urban destination perfect for flower appreciation. Aside from the annual Calla Lily Festival, there are also many beautiful flower farms to explore, including Xiangyang Farm, Taoyuan Fairy Valley, and Daxi Flower Sea Farm. Each park offers different flowers across the seasons, making it ideal for visitors to plan a flower-viewing and nature outing trip during holidays.

1. Futoen Farm
Futoen Garden Farm has served as a filming location for many idol dramas. With its vast flower fields and European-style landscaping, it attracts numerous fans and tourists. Modeled after Hokkaido’s Futoen Farm, this 2-hectare rainbow flower field features blooms such as lavender, cosmos, sunflowers, and colorful snapdragons, ensuring continuous floral beauty throughout the year.

2. Xiangyang Farm
In addition to its expansive sunflower fields, Xiangyang Farm sees vibrant blooms of colorful snapdragons and purple lavender from January to April each year. Together with freshly blooming sunflowers, they create a stunningly colorful flower field — a great spot for a holiday getaway.

Covering 18,000 pyeong, Xiangyang Farm is the largest sunflower-themed farm in northern Taiwan. Sunflower season runs from May to October, and the farm has free admission. Beyond its expansive seasonal flower fields, the site also offers a brick-oven baking area, outdoor educational programs, DIY activities, souvenirs, and a themed restaurant.
