Many trains in Japan often collaborate with popular cartoon characters to launch limited-edition train designs. For example, Seibu Railway previously partnered with Gudetama to launch a limited-edition smiling train, and now Hankyu Railway has teamed up with the hugely popular Snoopy to launch the “Snoopy & Friends” decorated train. Its adorable appearance has won over fans, and the news has garnered much attention.

In October 2016, Hankyu Railway’s first collaboration with Snoopy sparked enthusiastic discussions online, and this year they’ve decided to release the second edition — the “Snoopy & Friends” train. Not only does it feature a brand-new front-end logo design, but the train’s exterior and interior are also adorned with patterns of Snoopy and his friends, making the entire train feel like a cartoon world, which is incredibly fun.

The “Snoopy & Friends” train launched this time began operating on March 24, 2018. Hankyu Railway operates one Snoopy train each on the Kobe Line, Kyoto Line, and Takarazuka Line. The “Snoopy & Friends” train will run until August 31, 2018. If you’re traveling to the Kansai region during this period, be sure to try and spot the Snoopy train.
