The highly anticipated Michelin Guide Taipei edition was unveiled at 13:00 on March 14 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Regarded as the red bible of gastronomy, the Michelin Guide is highly valued by both industry professionals and consumers. An awards dinner was held on the evening of the announcement. Prior to the event, nine restaurants had already released news of their invitations to the dinner, effectively confirming their selection as Michelin-starred establishments.

These nine are: the Cantonese restaurant Yäger at the Mandarin Oriental, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, The Pyramid at Regent Taipei, Tian Xiang Lou at Ambassador Hotel Taipei, Qing Ke Lou at Sheraton Taipei Hotel, Godfather Steak, Jin Peng Lai, Sushi RYU, and La Cocotte by Fabien Verge.
