The wisteria flower tunnel blooms with spring’s limited-edition purple romance — a new café makes its debut

Spring brings a riot of blossoms, and besides cherry blossoms, the purple wisteria cascading like tassels is one of the stars of the floral season. The Wisteria Café Garden in Tamsui, New Taipei City, is hailed as Taiwan’s most beautiful wisteria garden, and its biggest feature is the wisteria pergola in the garden. Vast expanses of wisteria flowers climb along the arbor, forming a stunning purple tunnel. The purple petals of the wisteria fall like rain, creating a romantic, dreamy scene straight out of a fairy tale.

The Wisteria Café Garden, which meticulously maintains its flowers, is only open from March to May each year. The opening hours are adjusted according to the season and flower conditions to provide the most beautiful garden view. With nearly 3,000 square meters of garden space and café seating, visitors can not only marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the wisteria but also enjoy a variety of colorful flowers such as roses, angel’s trumpets, and purple irises planted throughout the park, offering a feast for the eyes and allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in a stunning floral wonderland.

This year, the Wisteria Café originally planned to open from March 20 to May 10. If you want to admire the annual beauty of the wisteria flowers, consider planning a flower-viewing trip during the holidays.
