Tokyo Disney Celebrates 35th Anniversary with the Grand "Happiest Celebration" Limited Event

Having been open since 1983, Tokyo Disney is marking its 35th anniversary with a 345-day-long “Happiest Celebration!” anniversary event starting April 15, 2018. The park aims to deliver its most spectacular and surprising celebration yet, surpassing all previous years.

Starting April 15, the brand-new daytime parade “Dreaming Up!” and the newly and extensively renovated attraction “It’s a Small World” will both make their dazzling debuts at Tokyo Disneyland, kicking off the exciting 35th-anniversary festivities. In “Dreaming Up!” Disney characters will join guests in a daytime parade that celebrates a world full of dreams and imagination, while the revamped “It’s a Small World” will feature up to 40 Disney character dolls, creating an enriched and fantastical journey full of surprises.

Additionally, the World Bazaar area of Tokyo Disneyland will be transformed into “Celebration Street,” welcoming guests with vibrant colors. Tokyo DisneySea will also unveil a water-based welcome show, “Joyful Ocean Parade,” specially created for the anniversary, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all visitors.

Starting July 10, Tokyo Disneyland will present the nighttime spectacular “Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland,” featuring dazzling visuals, colorful fountain displays, and illuminated night skies to usher in the summer season. Meanwhile, the “New York Theater” at Tokyo Disneyland will debut a brand-new entertainment show “Party Time!” and Tokyo DisneySea’s “Pier Side Stage” will also premiere a new performance “HarUp! New York” as part of the 35th-anniversary celebrations.

To celebrate Tokyo Disney’s 35th anniversary, special “Happy Mickey Sensor Spots” featuring Mickey statues have been set up throughout the parks for photo opportunities. A variety of special meals and souvenirs will also be launched, so Disney fans shouldn’t miss out on these exciting additions.
