Take Highway 72 toward Wenshui

On Highway 72 toward Wenshui (end), turn right toward Dahu

When traveling on Provincial Highway 3 and passing the FamilyMart overpass, please use the intersection (Miaoli County Road 55, Pinglin section). There are signs on the overpass.

Zoom in, and you’ll see this intersection where you turn left (0 km mark of Miaoli County Road 55).

After traveling 1.5 km on Miaoli County Road 55, prepare to turn left.

There are plenty of clear signs—please turn left (onto Miaoli County Road 55-1) and head toward Malabang Mountain.

After traveling 2 km on Miaoli County Road 55-1,

follow the red markers on the utility poles.

Pass the second parking lot of Malabang Mountain.

In about one minute, you’ll see an intersection with signs (please turn right to go up the mountain).

It takes about three minutes to reach the camp headquarters XD (the road wasn’t difficult for me).

First, check in at the camp headquarters (the road inside the actual campsite? is a bit rough, but small cars can manage it).

Don’t worry about the road inside the campsite either—it’s a bit rough, but the condition is really good. 1300cc small cars can make it.

Let’s start by introducing the top-floor campsite.

This campsite, called “Ma? Bang,” has been operating for about a year, and the grass is already very nice.

Also, looking at the whole site, it seems the drainage for each campsite is well handled.

The grassy campsites with no water pooling really look great.

Today, the top floor was also very lively.

There are two water tanks on the top floor.

First-time campers really come prepared with lots of gear XD (more will be added in the future).

The second night was comfortable and quiet—we turned off the lights before midnight.

Both squat and sit toilets, all with toilet paper provided.

Third-floor campsites (divided into grassy and concrete platform areas).

First, let’s take a look at the third-floor grassy campsites—the grass is well maintained.

There are three sinks on the 3rd floor.

Ma? Bang’s 3rd floor offers good views, and the platforms are well designed.

There are small drainage ditches along the slopes, and drainage works well.

The middle level also has an observation trail.

The air quality hasn't been very good lately, but the gradual color temperature transitions have a unique charm.

Night photography offers interesting scenes everywhere.

I just love shooting casually—why does it always have to be grand scenery?

Helped a group of young people set up their canopy. Did a good deed today XD (also provided double pins and lighting equipment)

The 3rd-floor platform area (isn’t it great?)

A very flat, clean, and comfortable camping environment.

Truly an excellent spot (the throne area).

And it comes with round barrel weights (there are pre-installed iron hooks on the ground that can all be used).

The highlight is that the platform even has grass protection X (you can set up a lot here XD)

Master He suggests that if there are pre-installed iron hooks underneath, it’s best to run a few tent ropes over them.

The night view from the night photography viewing platform only shows a small glow of colored light.

There’s one on each side of the sink.

Going down the stairs next to the platform leads to a new indoor camping spot.

Since it’s built with reinforced concrete and steel frame, walking or running overhead makes no noise—it’s very quiet.

The comfortable indoor camping environment is a total bonus, right?

In front, you can enjoy the grand views of sea of clouds, sunset, and colored light.

The sink is very well made, large, and there’s space to place items on both sides.

The recycling area is located next to the walkway.

Indoor lighting switches and power outlets.

The most thoughtful part is the many small stools provided (remember to leave some for other campers).

Next, let me introduce the loft area above the camp headquarters.

You can get there by taking the stairs from the camp headquarters parking lot (the stairs are wide and easy to walk on).

Inside the large iron shelter, you can set up tents in front for cooking, etc.

For an iron shelter, this one is really quite large and very clean.

Today, two tents and one living area were set up here for a family—three generations enjoying time together.

Camping is the best topic for parent-child bonding in the future.

There is a large refrigerator just outside that everyone can use

Finally, let me introduce the independent block (basement camping area)

Those who prefer quiet will love this area — guaranteed to be undisturbed

Exclusive sink (of course, you won’t disturb others either; insiders come to this campsite and are guaranteed to be satisfied)

And there’s an exclusive bathroom too (this campsite is really hard to justify financially, haha)

The high-altitude campsites in Miaoli are mainly centered around Tai’an Daxing Village

In recent years, too many campsites have been added in Tai’an Daxing Village — really a lot, a lot. For those who don’t like crowds like Master He, these lesser-known campsites are the most preferred. Who says scenic campsites aren’t suitable for family camping?
