On Monday, March 5, as a frontal system moves through, northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the island, and Matsu will see brief showers or thunderstorms. The central region, mountainous areas in the south, as well as Penghu and Kinmen, may also experience localized brief showers or thunderstorms, with a chance of heavier rainfall in some spots. Other areas will have mostly cloudy weather. Starting from the evening, the northeast monsoon will strengthen, gradually bringing cooler temperatures to the north and northeastern parts of the island.

Weekly weather overview: From Monday to Tuesday, areas north of Miaoli and the eastern half of Taiwan will have rain. By Tuesday afternoon, the weather will clear up, but it will turn rainy again from Thursday onward, with precipitation expected in areas north of Miaoli and the eastern part of the island. Saturday and Sunday will see fine to mostly cloudy weather across the entire country.

Temperatures on Monday will remain high, similar to Sunday’s. Starting Tuesday, temperatures will drop, with a noticeable decline of about 5–7°C in areas north of Miaoli. Other regions will see greater daily temperature fluctuations, with daytime highs around 20°C. From Friday to the weekend, average temperatures will be around 15–20°C, with northern areas staying below 20°C. Southern highs may reach around 25°C.
