A View to Rival the Grandeur of Taliao: Hualien’s Most Beautiful Station Embraces the Sea of Rice

Aside from the renowned Taliao Station, touted as the most beautiful in all of Taiwan, Taiwan—blessed with abundant natural scenery—also conceals numerous hidden railway stations with stunning and majestic views. Dongli Station in Fuli Township, Hualien, may lack the sweeping ocean panorama, but it offers an endless sea of rice paddies set against a blue sky dotted with white clouds on a sunny day, creating a scene just as moving as that of Taliao Station.

Dongli Station has both a new and an old station. The old station’s former railway tracks have been transformed into a cycling path. Nestled within the valley, it boasts magnificent farmland vistas and stretches of verdant mountains, offering a wide and open view that feels like a magical gateway to a hidden paradise.
