Izu’e is a long-established unagi (eel) restaurant, founded in the mid-Edo period and boasting a history of approximately 260 years. The restaurant’s unagi kabayaki is grilled over Binchotan charcoal from Wakayama at a low temperature and served with side dishes, soup, sashimi, and more. There is also an unagi unagi yanagawa-nabe (eel hot pot), which is equally flavorful.
