Taiwan’s tallest Ferris wheel, “Dream Sky,” is poised to become a new landmark in Taichung. Lihpao Outlet has officially commenced its trial operation. On the first day, the site was packed with visitors. Although only 80% of the stores are open during the trial period and many park facilities are not yet accessible, it still drew many visitors from afar who came to get an early look at Taichung’s largest outlet mall. Here are five must-visit and must-eat highlights inside Lihpao Outlet.

1. Taiwan’s Largest Food Street — Indulge in Hokkaido Ramen

In addition to housing up to 1,000 seats — making it Taiwan’s largest food street — the dining area near the Ferris wheel offers stunning views. Enjoy delicious food while taking in the scenery, and at night, admire the illuminated Ferris wheel. Moreover, the Ramen Alley will feature popular ramen shops from Hokkaido, Japan, including “?や虎鉄,” “ラ0?幞蟠衛沙ぁ薄??氦浃?瑜俊保? as well as the first-ever outlet appearance of “Sapporo Enjin.” You can enjoy authentic Hokkaido flavors without leaving Taiwan.

2. Hidden Rooftop Platform — Breathtaking Views of the Ferris Wheel

The outlet has three floors, and at the top level, behind a small door, lies a beautiful rooftop platform. Aside from offering views of the surrounding scenery, the best part is the photo angle — perfect for close-up shots with the Ferris wheel. It’s not hard to imagine how romantic this place will be at night with the Ferris wheel lights. Additionally, the colorful walls and pointed architecture make for great photo backdrops.

3. Pastel Walls — A Romantic Fountain with a Centuries-old Olive Tree

The entire outlet building is designed in the Italian Portofino style, featuring soft pastel hues like pink-yellow, pink-orange, and pink-red that are adorable and charming. There are two 500-year-old olive trees, transported all the way from Spain to Taiwan, paired with a fountain landscape to create the most romantic European-style central courtyard. To prevent excessive water loss during transport, the branches and leaves of these century-old trees were trimmed. They’re expected to look even more magnificent when they’re fully leafed out next summer.

4. Pet Paradise — Dog Park for Furry Friends
