Fly to Europe’s Shopping Capital: Cathay Pacific Launches Milan Route
Milan leads the world in fashion. While you can still find all kinds of luxury goods in other Italian cities, some treasures just aren’t as stylish as those in Milan. Starting March 28 this year, Cathay Pacific will launch direct passenger flights between Hong Kong and Milan, giving travelers more route options to the fashion capital and even more bonus miles for flying to Europe.
To celebrate the launch of the Milan route, from March 28 to June 20, Cathay Pacific is offering passengers traveling in Economy Class to Europe an extra 10,000 Asia Miles, and those flying in First or Business Class can enjoy an additional 15,000 Asia Miles. Passengers can fly with Cathay Pacific or Dragonair from Taipei or Kaohsiung via Hong Kong to Cathay Pacific’s European destinations, including Milan, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome.
Cathay Pacific established its Rome service in April 1986, currently operating one passenger flight daily. With the new Milan service, the airline will increase its weekly passenger flights to Italy to 11. In addition, there are also six weekly cargo flights to Milan, making Milan the 47th destination on Cathay Pacific’s passenger network.
Even if you’re not shopping for luxury goods in Milan, don’t miss the art of brand displays. The area between Via Monte Napoleone and Via della Spiga is a hub for top-tier luxury brands—every major Italian fashion label can be found here. Rows of designer boutiques line the streets, with some brands even having two or three stores in the district. The fashion items and leather goods displayed in the windows reflect Milan’s status as a global fashion capital.
