Eye on Alishan Mountain!* Win a Photography Contest with Prizes Worth NT$30,000

Alishan, consistently ranked among the best travel destinations by both domestic and international visitors, captivates hearts with its "Five Wonders of Alishan"—sunrise, sea of clouds, sunset glow, sacred trees, and railways. The must-do experience of watching the sunrise from Zhushan, as well as the cherry blossoms in spring and the fiery red maple leaves in autumn, add even more charm to Alishan’s natural scenery.

Visitors to Alishan always come with joyful hearts, but one essential item they shouldn't leave behind is their camera. Every snapshot captures the breathtaking beauty of this mountain. To preserve the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Alishan forever, the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration is holding the "Radiant Snapshots: Alishan Photography Competition." The event runs from now until October 31. Entries are welcome for any photographic subjects that reflect the natural ecology, scenic landscapes, and cultural events across Alishan’s various scenic spots.

The morning light and evening glow of Alishan, along with the drifting sea of clouds and waterfalls between the mountains—undulating and ever-changing—bring a unique sense of wonder every second. The Photo Masters Photography Competition is divided into two categories: Natural Ecology & Landscape, and Cultural Events & Humanistic Scenes. Each category includes: 1 Gold Award (NT$30,000 prize + certificate); 1 Silver Award (NT$20,000 prize + certificate); 1 Bronze Award (NT$10,000 prize + certificate); 10 Honorable Mentions (NT$5,000 prize + certificate each); 20 Merit Awards (NT$1,000 prize + certificate each); and 67 Preliminary Finalists (NT$500 prize + certificate each), totaling 200 winners.

To encourage participation, anyone who spends NT$3,600 or more at legally operated shops within the Alishan Scenic Area can exchange their receipt or invoice for a limited-edition pocket-sized "Alishan Travelogue" at the Rueili Management Station, Dabang Management Station, or the main office. Limited to 2,000 copies—first come, first served. All photography enthusiasts are welcome to capture the beautiful Alishan and preserve timeless memories.
