Following the winter work-and-travel program “The Coldest Experience in Hokkaido,” this summer introduces the “Hokkaido Summer Dream Job.” The program runs from June 15 to August 10, when flowers are in full bloom. The working hours are 8 hours per day, with one day off per week. The job locations are the dreamily scenic Furano and Biei stations, where you will serve as station ticketing interpreters, provide nearby tourism consultations, handle various clerical tasks including translation in Chinese, Japanese, and English, and share daily travel information and interesting work anecdotes on your personal blog. JR Service Net Hokkaido will cover the local accommodation expenses and provide a salary of 489,600 Japanese yen (subject to 20% income tax) for the duration of the job.

JR Hokkaido’s official Chinese website, where you can download the application form online. Applicants must be Taiwanese nationals, with no age or gender restrictions. They must hold a Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 or higher certificate, demonstrate conversational English ability, and have a personal blog. The selection interviews are expected to be held in Taipei on April 26.
