“New” Angle Photography Contest – Win Free Flights to New Zealand

Ever since the release of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, the fantastical and majestic landscapes depicted in the films have left a profound impact on audiences. Even years after the movies premiered, the purity and beauty of New Zealand remain its timeless calling card. Whether it’s the North Island, known for its volcano-formed terrains, or the South Island with its breathtaking glacial vistas, both offer rare and spectacular sights.

The New Zealand Tourism Network is hosting the “New Zealand Scenery Photo & Story Contest” from now until May 31. Just upload your favorite and most interesting travel photo from New Zealand along with the story behind it. The public will vote online, and the winner with the most votes will receive a round-trip flight ticket from Taipei to New Zealand. Other prizes include airplane models, limited-edition China Airlines flight attendant dolls, New Zealand glacial mud face masks, and lanolin lip balms.

Since November 30, 2009, New Zealand has granted passport holders from our country a 3-month visa-free entry for non-work purposes, bringing travelers even closer. New Zealand’s long and narrow land features diverse landscapes and activities due to its varying terrains, geology, and climates. Whether it's crazy shopping and gourmet food in Auckland and Wellington, soaking in hot springs amid geothermal wonders in Rotorua, visiting wineries and tasting fine wines in Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough, or getting up close with glaciers and fjords through boat rides or hiking—every experience is an unforgettable highlight in New Zealand.
