German jazz powerhouse Triosence takes the stage for a night of immersive jazz and gourmet delights

Formed in 1999, Triosence consists of pianist Bernhard Schüler, bassist Matthias Nowak, and drummer Stephan Emig. The band’s name is a combination of the words "Trio" and "Essence," meaning "the essence of a trio," which directly reflects their founding philosophy. Triosence’s jazz style transcends boundaries, blending various genres while highlighting the unique characteristics of instruments like the piano, bass, and drums. Highly praised by fans and critics alike, they have won multiple national music awards and are among Germany’s most popular rising jazz stars.

In addition to their performance at the National Concert Hall, Triosence will also play at the "Li Bai Ju" lounge on the 6th floor of the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM on May 13 and 14. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM that evening, the "Li Bai Ju" lounge will also serve a lavish European-style buffet featuring dishes such as German roast pork knuckle, Berlin-style meatballs, Nuremberg sausages, mushroom cream chicken, pan-seared cod with white wine and dill sauce, apple strudel with herb sauce, and Black Forest cake. The cost is 1,200 NTD per person.

The "Li Bai Ju" lounge will also offer three exclusive vodka martinis (consumption of alcohol in excess is harmful to health), specially crafted to complement the music with an extra touch of charm. These drinks include the Riot Martini (390 NTD), Brightness Martini (390 NTD), and Blue Eye (390 NTD). Amidst German cuisine, signature martinis, and Triosence’s performance, even the most rigid notions of German jazz will be transformed into sheer enthusiasm.
