Sun Moon Lake for just NT$299 – All-in-one Land, Sea & Air 6-in-1 Pass Now Available

Since the launch of the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle” service by the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, 20 tourist routes across 10 counties and cities have been gradually introduced since April, offering both domestic and international travelers more convenient and affordable sightseeing experiences. The first route to kick off is the Nantou Sun Moon Lake line. Coordinated by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration and launched through a partnership of local operators, this marks the very first tourist multi-pass in the area’s history—the “Sun Moon Lake Land, Sea & Air Pass.” It includes discounts on cable cars, boats, shuttle buses, amusement parks, as well as bike and electric scooter rentals. With one-stop convenience, great discounts, and detailed transport information, travelers can fully experience Sun Moon Lake for just NT$299.

The “Sun Moon Lake Land, Sea & Air Pass” comes in two versions: the NT$299 blue 6-in-1 package and the NT$899 green package. The blue package includes a cable car ticket, a one-way boat ticket from Shuishe to Ita Thao, a one-day pass for the Lakeside Loop Bus, a one-hour free trial coupon for a Giant bicycle, and an 8% discount voucher for electric scooter rental. Visitors who get their temple stamp can also exchange it for a unique Sun Moon Lake souvenir. For those needing transportation between Taichung and Sun Moon Lake, the NT$899 green pass includes all the blue pass benefits plus a round-trip Taiwan Tourist Shuttle ticket between Taichung and Sun Moon Lake, as well as entry to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.

The “Sun Moon Lake Land, Sea & Air Pass” goes on sale May 10. Passes can be purchased at the Nantou Bus counter at Taichung Gancheng Station, Exit 3 on the 5th floor of Taichung HSR Station, Puli Kuo-Kuang Transfer Station, and the Sun Moon Lake Integrated Transport Service Center. The first run includes 5,000 NT$299 blue packages and 5,000 NT$899 green packages. The promotion is valid until December 31, 2010.
