South Korea’s iTourSeoul service launches, making first-time visits to Korea hassle-free
Vibrant and diverse Seoul, the capital of South Korea, not only boasts a highly convenient subway network that serves as the best mode of transport for visitors, but starting today, travelers can also experience the world’s only IT tourism service “i Tour Seoul.” Even first-time solo travelers will have no trouble navigating the city, allowing them to enjoy a more convenient and pleasant journey.
To better serve foreign visitors, South Korea’s “i Tour Seoul” service has officially launched, offering travelers a variety of IT information services via a new website and mobile web platform. The official Seoul tourism information site visitseoul.net provides travel information in five different languages—Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese—including services for booking performances and hotels, as well as comprehensive features such as discussion forums and personal spaces. Travelers can also access the mobile web via smartphone.
Visitors looking for location-based information related to sightseeing, dining, transportation, hiking, and more can simply download the free positioning app on their iPhone from the App Store to get the latest updates. For those without their own iPhone, rentals are available at the SHOW Global Roaming Center in dedicated SHOW stores at Incheon Airport, Gimpo Airport, and urban airport bus terminals. Future plans include extending this service to Windows Mobile and Android phones.
