Starry Art Catering Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Singapore’s DCH Holdings, has established a new themed restaurant, "Yu·Shanghai," at the famous Yu Garden in Shanghai. Set against the backdrop of the 600-year-old Ming Dynasty architecture in the Old City God Temple, the restaurant impresses diners with exquisite regional flavors, stunning cultural performances, and avant-garde interior design.

"Yu·Shanghai" embodies the signature theater-restaurant concept of Starry Art Catering Management, breathing new life into the classic Chinese architecture while subtly reflecting Chinese architectural culture and echoing the Shanghai Expo’s theme of "highlighting China’s traditional historical culture." Upon entering the restaurant, visitors are greeted by a modern Chinese portrait infused with both Eastern and Western artistic elements, created by Xu U?, a renowned young artist from Jiangsu. This representation of contemporary Chinese femininity will also make appearances within the restaurant. The interior decor blends traditional Chinese elements such as screens, calligraphy, and imperial motifs with a modern aesthetic, creating a striking contrast.
