Following Master Wu Pao-chun’s championship win at the World Bread Masters, ingredients from Taiwan such as sweet rice wine longan and millet wine have drawn international acclaim. The bakeries under his direction are so popular they can barely keep up with demand. To allow residents in northern Taiwan to enjoy these delicious creations too, “St. Paul Baking Garden,” a baking business that expanded northward from Chiayi, along with Master Wu Pao-chun, the head of bread technology, have jointly opened “The Happy Bread Garden” in Yonghe, Linkou. The “Yonghe Flagship Store” is set to grandly open on May 20th, making a dazzling debut in the world of food and fashion.

St. Paul Baking Garden has built a solid foundation over nearly 20 years in the Chiayi, Yunlin, and Tainan regions. Since launching its baking business in Chiayi in 1991, the store gradually expanded, opening a Fuhsing branch in Taipei in June 2009. In addition to its award-winning star products, the “Q Cake” was honored as one of the “Top 10 National Souvenirs in 2007” and one of the “Top 10 Zhulu Souvenirs in 2009.” St. Paul is also the only bakery in Taiwan where you can purchase both the sweet rice wine longan and the millet wine lychee-flavored bread—two champion breads—in one place.
Covering 120 ping (approximately 396 m²), the Yonghe flagship store continues the design philosophy of “minimalism, luxury, and happiness,” using simple black-and-white tones to highlight a wide range of products and vibrant, festive new packaging. At the center of the space, a dazzling crystal chandelier evokes St. Paul’s legacy and the warmth of family sharing bread around the table. The store is located on Fuhe Road in Yonghe’s bustling district and is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It is expected to become a new culinary hotspot and the go-to spot for premium souvenirs in Yonghe after its opening.
