Taipei Gourmet Travel Package at a 42% Discount, Available at Convenience Stores

The second wave of promotions for the "2010 Taipei International Gourmet Show" closely integrates Taipei’s cuisine with district travel, selecting well-known hotels and popular restaurants within four of the city’s most popular districts — Zhongshan, Shilin Tianmu, East District, and Ximending. It offers an exceptionally discounted package that combines food and accommodation. The package includes one night in a double room at a well-known hotel in Taipei and a double lunch or dinner at a featured gourmet restaurant in Taipei. In addition to being able to collect the "Taipei Gourmet Pass" booklet for free at selected gourmet restaurants in the first phase, the 42%-off "Gourmet Travel Package" can be purchased at Hi-Life convenience stores via Life-ET.

Zhongshan District highlights the Taipei Sheri Hotel, co-created by renowned Taiwanese architect Li Weimin and famous fashion space designer Su Chengxiu, available at a Gourmet discounted price of NT$2,800; it can be paired with set meals from seven restaurants including Seven Dragons Charcoal Grill, Shengbo Pavilion Japanese Pork Cutlet, Kōcha Yakan Washi Hot Pot, and Jinpin Teahouse, with special double set prices ranging from NT$800 to NT$1,000.

Shilin Beitou Tianmu District offers a hot spring travel itinerary, featuring a stay at Shuimei Hot Spring Resort to enjoy Beitou’s hot spring experience, available at a Gourmet discounted price of just NT$3,200, with a complimentary two-piece afternoon tea on weekdays; it can be paired with set meals from restaurants such as Yujing Japanese Cuisine, Shengbo Pavilion Japanese Pork Cutlet, Lacuz BaliBali Yangming, and Chihfufu Restaurant, with double set prices ranging from NT$800 to NT$1,500.

East District features the Taipei Fullerton Hotel South, available at a Gourmet discounted price of NT$3,500; it can be paired with set meals from restaurants including Sichuan Wu Chao Shou, Anli Jia Indian Cuisine, Bell Ring American Steakhouse, SOUL FOOD Restaurant & Bar, Dad Qiao Italian Restaurant, Seven Dragons Charcoal Grill, and Heting Fashionable Teppanyaki, with double set prices ranging from NT$600 to NT$1,000.

The youth-favorite Ximending District features MasterCard Business Hotel, available at a Gourmet discounted price of NT$2,400; it can be paired with set meals from Seven Dragons Charcoal Grill, Victoria Tea House, Zhu Ji Pie Porridge Baoding Store, and Tianwaitian Premium Spicy Hot Pot Kunming Store, with double set prices ranging from NT$800 to NT$1,000. For the first 10 customers to check in at each of the above four selected hotels, an additional NT$500 food voucher for Yuan Shizu Lamb Hot Pot and Dianshui Lou is included.

The "Gourmet Travel Package" is now on sale at all Hi-Life convenience store Life-ET kiosks nationwide, with sales ending July 31 and the package valid for use until August 31; a price difference will apply for use beyond this period.
