Cool off and have fun in the water at the Northeast Coast—snorkeling, surfing, and splashing around!

With clear skies, azure seas, and refreshing water activities, the Northeast Coast is the perfect choice for embracing the ocean. Starting from Taipei along Provincial Highway 2, the first water play spot you’ll reach is the Longdong Bay Diving Service Area. This area features a seawater swimming pool where you can swim and snorkel, as well as professional instructors offering kayaking and diving lessons. For those eager to swim with the fish, head to the seawater pool at Longdong Four Seasons Bay or simply sit on the shore with a coffee, taking in the stunning seascape.

Beachgoers know that Fulong is the best beach in Northern Taiwan. Every summer, it becomes a popular attraction on the Northeast Coast. On its approximately 3,000-meter-long golden sandy beach, aside from swimming, you can also try sand sculpting, windsurfing, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding for a relaxing and thrilling experience. Heading further south to Waiao, watch surfers skillfully ride the waves on their boards—it might just inspire you to jump in and show off your own skills!

The Northeast Coast’s Longdong Bay Diving Service Area, Longdong Four Seasons Bay, Yenliao Beach Park, Longmen Camping Area, and Fulong Beach have all gradually reopened for business. Reservations and park entry tickets for the Longdong Bay Diving Service Area purchased by the end of June can be used to offset course fees. At Yenliao Beach Park, tickets can be used to get a NT$20 discount on freshly made café drinks, with any shortfall to be paid. Each recreational area offers activities such as seawater swimming pools, snorkeling lessons, canoeing lessons, and diving lessons. While dancing with the sea, don’t forget about water safety—do your homework before hitting the water to ensure a fun and safe summer of swimming.
