The Fengzhi Valley Wetland Park at Hualien Ideal Resort covers an area of 5.7 hectares. The natural wetland nurtures plants and purifies water, fostering a rich variety of aquatic plants and fish, creating a small green ecosystem that serves as a feeding and habitat ground for nearby birds, insects, and frogs. Starting in June, the park is offering an urban farmer organic and toxin-free experience. Led by experts, visitors will go on a bicycle bird-watching tour, leisurely pedaling along country roads, and visit the Zhixue Farm, known for its professional organic farming. They can learn about toxin-free farming methods from agricultural experts and taste the season’s new product — “fruit bitter melon” — which has a crisp, juicy texture like fruit.
