Farewell China, Hangzhou Tourism Service Center Established in Taipei
Hangzhou is a romantic city that embodies the essence of an ancient Chinese capital, China’s tea capital, the silk capital, the Buddhist capital of the southeast, the city of romance, and the fashion capital of women's clothing. Since ancient times, it has been renowned as the "Paradise on Earth" and has been honored by both the China National Tourism Administration and the United Nations World Tourism Organization as the “Best Tourism City in China.” It enjoys titles such as the “Capital of Leisure in the East,” “The Happiest City in China,” and “The Chinese City with the Highest Tourist Satisfaction.”

Last year, Hangzhou ranked among the top five major Chinese cities in terms of Taiwanese tourist arrivals. The Taiwanese market has become Hangzhou’s largest inbound tourism market, demonstrating the city’s tourism potential and appeal as a top travel destination for Taiwanese consumers. To create a new model of cross-strait tourism marketing, the first “Hangzhou Tourism (Taipei) Service Center” was officially established in Taiwan to promote the image of Hangzhou to more Taiwanese travelers. The Hangzhou Municipal Tourism Commission has partnered with Lion Travel’s 50 retail outlets across Taiwan, using Taipei’s first promotional hub as the first step in a unified marketing strategy across the island. This offers more comprehensive, timely, and efficient information and consultation regarding travel to Hangzhou.
The “Hangzhou Tourism (Taipei) Service Center” is the first promotion center established by a mainland Chinese city in Taiwan specifically for tourism marketing. It adopts Taiwan’s first physical storefront combined with a digital multimedia model. Through real-life guided videos at the physical location, it provides a detailed introduction to local food, drinks, entertainment, attractions, and scenic spots, and has dedicated personnel available to offer travel consultation for Hangzhou. In the future, it plans to expand promotional locations across Taiwan so that more people can discover the beauty of Hangzhou and travel there with ease.

To celebrate the opening of the service center, a one-month-long Hangzhou Special Exhibition is being held from now until July 9. The exhibition features a variety of Hangzhou’s distinctive local products, including Qiandao Lake fish head, Longjing tea, Wang Xingji fans, and other well-known handicrafts. Public bicycles have also been flown in from Hangzhou to promote the concept of green energy and environmental protection, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of traveling in Hangzhou.
